Acupressure
Acupressure is a form of Acupuncture without the use of needles. Instead gentle pressure or massage is applied to the same acupuncture points on the body. When gentle pressure or massage is applied to the acupuncture points in the body, there is a rapid rise in the rate of blood flow from this point to the brain. The brain then reacts by creating two very important pain-reliving hormones called Endorphin and Enkephalin that help to reduce pain in the body and produces a sense of well being. It also helps to balance the flow of "Chi" (Energy of Life) in the body. It is a simple, safe and painless form of therapy to help maintain a healthy lifestyle.
Electro-acupressure is a form of Acupuncture without the use of needles. Instead minute electrical pulses are applied to the same acupuncture points on the body to stimulate the body's natural healing powers. In this modality there is no fear of infection or cross infections as the skin is not broken.
